The ATQMRA at the Phillipsburg NJ Mall Dirt Track Hero's of Yesterday & Today show with the Howard Boss 29 driven regularly by Zack Martini and the Blu Metz owned 46 that he is going to be racing in 08 with the ATQMRA.
The Phillipsburg NJ Mall was packed for the Dirt Track Hero's of Yesterday and Today show for its opening day on Sunday March 9th. More people packed the mall than during Christmas shopping. It was an amazing site to behold. Greatness was surely in the air with all of the top names of the past and present on hand to meet and greet with fans and friends. I cannot tell you how many race wins were present when the Carquest Gasoline Alley guys started their show and announcing the names of the Masters of the sport on hand.
We were truly blessed to be in the presence of the greatness of those people. Dirt Track Heroes who once raced at such historic but bygone facilities as Nazareth, Flemington, Reading and Harmony Speedways. Legendary racing names such as Kenny Brenn Sr and Jr, Ray Neary, Ken Wismer Jr, Leroy Amey, Richie and Randy Smith, Carl "Fuzzy" Van Horn, Neil Kumernitsky, Bruce Kline, Carl Collis, Sammy Beavers, Bill Wilson, Sonny Strupp, Wayne YoungThe likes of Frankie Schneider the Carter family, , Tom Hagar, Jimmy McGuire were all on hand.
ATQMRA drivers Zack Martini and Matt Janisch and ATQMRA President Blu Metz were interviewed by Earl Krause, Bobby Stull and Randy Kane about their race plans for 08. The interviews were for the TV broadcast of the Carquest Gasoline Alley Show on Service Electric Cable TV to be broadcast at a later date. Martini, Janisch, and Metz were also on hand to meet and greet with fans and sponsors, to sign autographs, and hand out schedules.
The show runs through this coming Saturday March 15th with a live Broadcast of Carquest Gasoline Alley on MOnday night with the Dirt Track Heroes.
Congratulations to part time ATQMRA competitor "Liquid" Lou Cicconi for adding another indoor race victory to his resume at Mototown USA on Sunday.

Living Legend Frankie Schneider on hand to sign Autographs. Frankie raced a #73 roadster with the ATQMRA at Atlantic City during the Stockinger Era and drove the Junie Metz Boyd Chassis car at Wall in the 80s. It was Frankie's first ride in a car with a 2-stroke engine. Frankie told the crew, "This motors got a lot of cam in it." after lighting up the 2 stroke power plant.

The Magenta and white 46 with a pink Carebear driving was a hit with the little girls at the show.
